Shoes SS 2012

I just cannot help it. Shoes are my major weakness, thus the first post about fashion week(s) is my little selection of a few trends that will be staying and/or coming up next season.

Transparent maxi skirts

I am loving the new trend, namely transparent maxi skirts! You could see them on catwalks for the S/S 2011 shows. If you read one of my previous posts, you saw that I also bought one from American Apparel, and also considering buying a second one.
Why I like this trend so much is because it is comfortable, chic, laid back and revealing at the same time. The one thing me and girls as short as me should bear in mind is to always wear it waste high and not on the hips, since it will shorten the legs and shrink us even further!

The flats are back!!!

These are absolutely great news indeed. The FLATS are officially back in all shapes and sizes: pointy, flip flops or with a little heel. I think enough said! Our feet will sure be grateful!

Christian Dior Haute Couture SS 2011

Firstly, I have to apologise for being so absent lately, however I just have to report how absolutely smitten and taken I am with John Galliano's new, 40s and 50s inspired, collection! I live absolutely everything about it: the fabric, the design, the make up, the hair decoration and the hair itself. These beautiful waves and the subtle eye liner paired with the red lip stick. These amazing pencil skirts, petticoats, waste hugging belts and  bust accentuating blazers... I am definitely sold!

A bit more of SS 2011

Here is a bit more on fashion for SS 2011. I know I already had a "Fashion trends 2011" post earlier, however, I really couldn't help it. I really adore the coming season's collections, plus, I really can't wait for a warmer season to come and it serves me as an inspiration and warms me. My absolute favourites here are Jason Wu, since it very much conforms to my style and also Marc Jacobs, which is very 50s inspired and just lovely to look at.
Hope you enjoy it!

Fashion trends 2011

OK, so for a while I've been getting the Vogue Germany newsletter and in today's issue they presented a summary of the fashion trends for SS 2011 and I have to say that I ABSOLUTELY love it! You can see my favourites below, but there are also others, such as: black, white dresses, minimalism, colour mix and pattern mix. With prospects being that great, I truly can't wait for Spring to arrive and temperatures to rise.

Harper's Bazaar Pre-Fall 2011

Yesterday I was reading Harper's Bazaar online and they published their favourites from the Pre-Fall collection. I selected a little more and here are my favourite looks:

I love the simplicity and the clean cuts, the side-parted pony tales and the red lips. It really just confirms my usual theory that less is more!
